Pamukkale heritage archives,
Denizli 2017 | Selim Atak, Ilaria Positano

The proposal is the first step of a large-scale and specialized archive network that aims to increase interest in Anatolia's historical and cultural heritage. This archive is not merely a museum or a collection of documents, but an interactive space designed to attract local people to historical sites. It will serve as a digital archive accessible for daily use, offering various ways to explore historical content.

The project is embodied in a unique building. The building on top of Pamukkale is an artificial terrace designed along the road leading to the Hierapolis museum. Its central area is enclosed by a portico and an indoor archive space, providing an inviting space for activities.
